Oreo Cake
1 box chocolate cake mix
4 squares of Baker’s chocolate
1 package of Oreo Cookies
½ stick of butter
1 cup of sugar
1 8 oz. tub of Cool Whip
1 8 oz. bar of cream cheese
Bake the cake according to the directions on the box. Bake in 2 9” round pans. Cool completely. Mix sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip, but don’t use beaters. Crush ¾ of the Oreos into pieces. Gently fold in Oreos and place the mixture in the refrigerator until the cake is completely cool.
Place first layer of cake on a plate. Gently spread Oreo mixture on top of this layer. Place second layer on top of mixture with flat side facing up. Microwave Baker’s chocolate squares in 30 second intervals until melted. Cut up butter and mix into melted chocolate. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes to thicken. Spread this across the top of the cake only. You can add whole or crushed Oreos to the top of the cake to decorate.
